Young Adult Programs

Intensive

The Path to Wellness Starts Here

Our young-adult intensive program offers unique and creative individualized programming for emerging adults, ages 18 - 28. Located near the beautiful resort town of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, the residential home settings are close to local amenities yet situated in peaceful locations. Resident schedules and groups are based on a range of factors including pace, social awareness, addiction history, education/vocational interests and mentoring needs.

Generally, our young-adult residents have experienced challenges due to clinical needs and past experiences. Many times, they may not have developed the usual coping skills that allow them to be making age-appropriate life choices and decisions. This is why we offer a goal-oriented treatment plan, individually designed to incorporate the varied dimensions of each resident. Together with parents or guardians, we methodically weave in expectations, along with markers to measure progress. The insights and expertise of education consultants, community clinicians and previous educators are also integrated into the treatment process.

Charting the Course

Our young adult residents participate in a host of innovative family, group and individual therapy sessions, along with critical life-skills classes that help them chart the course that successfully transitions them into independence. From planning and maintaining a personal schedule to decision-making, conflict resolution and money management, individuals learn to balance these valuable core living competencies while completing their high school education, seeking employment or enrolling in college or workforce training. Learning and then incorporating therapeutic lifestyle choices to set the stage for success is vital for mental and physical wellness..

Residents work closely with our team of compassionate professionals to find a balance between physical health and fitness, environment, daily responsibilities, relationships, self-esteem and values. One of the advantages of our small program size is our ability to quickly develop goals, adapt structure and respond to both growth and struggle. Our young-adult residents are also provided with vocational-training and employment opportunities or higher-education choices through one of our four local colleges.

Length of stay is based on individual goal achievement. Innercept offers additional young-adult support services for every step of their journey. The Stabilization portion of the program provides concentrated support during particularly challenging times, while our Transition and Ingage programs offer guidance as they take the next steps into living independently.
