Evidence Based. Astounding Results.
Our unique approach to treating a constellation of complex mental-health issues is at the core of how we are changing the face of mental health. The integral-recovery approach to psychology helps adolescents and young adults see themselves and the world around them in more detailed and effective ways by focusing on the following four branches:
Self and consciousness (The parts of me no one can see)
Behaviors and perspective (The parts of me that others see and measure)
Foundational values (culture and world view)
Social system and environment (Everything outside of me)
Using these four quadrants, we are able to see a multi-dimensional view of the individual and begin to help them break down the obstacles and barriers that have kept them from thriving in the past. We can then guide our residents to begin identifying and developing their cornerstones of being. This framework provides them with a roadmap for adapting response and reaction to everyday highs and lows based on their value systems, while embracing self-actualization.
Many of our adolescent and young-adult residents come to us with compounded mental-health and medical conditions that have gone undiagnosed – from physical and developmental to psychological and behavioral. The direct correlation between the dysfunction of these systems most often produces a continuous cycle of cause-and-effect that keeps them from flourishing.
The collaborative foundation of our integral approach enables us to make these connections. Once the level of function, impairment and challenges have been identified, we can define therapeutic measures within the treatment plan that align the body’s systems to maximize the journey to well-being.
Our diverse team of highly-skilled professionals specializes in clarifying these complex issues, including:
Mood disorder, depression and bipolar disorder
Anxiety disorders, OCD, panic disorder and social anxiety
Executive functioning issues
Adoption and attachment Issues
Autism spectrum disorders and/or related diagnoses
Strained relationships with parents and authority figures
Decline in academic performance
Negative peer relationships
Transformation through Innovation
From the values, principles and integral-recovery modalities we apply in our treatment plans to the quality and comfort of our home environments, every step of the process is designed to surround individuals with constant physical, emotional and mental support. With this safety net in place, our residents have the freedom to discover who they are, explore their place in the world and connect how their bodies, minds and spirits work together as a whole.
We have always known exercise, diet and connecting in the community play important roles in mental-health treatment. In our constant pursuit of knowledge and innovation, we have applied these philosophies in new, creative ways. This not only supports transformation and lasting well-being, it’s also produced astounding results and has proven Innercept’s programs to be more successful.
Food As Medicine
Through our integral-recovery approach, we provide weekly culinary classes to develop cooking skills that foster healthy eating habits. Residents work directly with one of our full-time, dedicated registered dietitians to learn how to use food as natural medicine. Innercept offers an array fresh, whole foods that provide a solid foundation for sustainable overall wellness.
Recent studies have shown exercise can actually rejuvenate brain cells and even build new ones, debunking this previously common-held myth. From movement and motion to relaxation techniques, our integral-recovery model incorporates a broad range of exercises for the body, mind and spirit. Together, these proven therapeutic components are key to promoting healthy self-care habits and regulating mood for improved brain function.
Mental-health issues are known for causing individuals to focus inward, creating feelings of isolation, which in turn, can cause them to become disconnected. Volunteerism plays a key role in our integral-recovery model by helping our residents turn outward to build connections and relationships. By seeing the value their contributions offer to others and to the world, they are able to begin appreciating the gifts and opportunities they’ve been given. This works to build confidence and self-esteem.

Full Perspective. Wholly Therapeutic.
Treatment begins by working closely with our adolescent and young-adult residents through a variety of therapeutic modalities – both group and one-on-one. These sessions are evidence-based and allow us to see the full perspective, giving us the ability to define and align treatment plans to maximize the body’s systems, rather than missing any critical factors. With the added benefit of our small program size, this helps us prevent setbacks, relapses and hospitalizations.
We also offer additional cutting-edge diagnostic services in the field of behavioral neuroscience, such as brain mapping through the world-renowned medical company, Neurologics.
Neuroimaging and Neuroengineering
As part of our mission of changing the face of mental health for adolescents and young adults, we offer highly specialized brain mapping and optimization through Neurologics. This powerful tool significantly expands our ability to craft the most effective, highly-individualized treatment for our residents.
The multidisciplinary components of these plans rely on specific brain activities that are the foundation of our residents’ cognitive and emotional function. Neurologics brain mapping takes approximately two hours to complete and provides an overview of 293 distinct brain activities, visualizing areas of strength and opportunities for growth. These include memory, attention, impulse control, and decision-making.
With specialized, FDA-approved techniques, Neurologics uses Quantitative Electroencephalography (qEEG) to record and visualize the activity of neural networks in the brain as a person thinks and performs tasks in real time. Comparison and analysis enable us to identify known neuroelectric biomarkers for specific brain conditions. With this data, we are able to recognize and diagnose issues in brain function with extraordinary precision and accuracy. The results are used to guide the treatment plan, while also measuring progress.
Neurologics Benefits at a Glance
No side effects
Private and confidential
Accurate and objective
Convenient treatment process
Neurologics brain mapping can provide an unequivocal diagnosis, giving us the ability to definitively pinpoint many conditions, including:
Learning differences or ADHD
Drug use or family history of addiction
History of concussion or head trauma
Mental illness or co-occurring disorder
The brain-map results are presented in a report to each resident in a question-and-answer-style session and can also be shared with Innercept staff, at your discretion, to help direct the course of individualized treatment plans. This data is also particularly useful in driving Neurologics Neuroengineering™ sessions during the assessment process to help build brain capacity in any of the areas where deficits are identified.
