In the Young Adult Intensive Program, we offer unique and creative individualized programming for emerging adults ranging in age from eighteen to twenty-four.  Located near the beautiful resort town of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, we are close to local amenities yet free from urban culture on site.   Our staff members embrace the program values which encourage a balance between physical health and fitness, environment, relationships, self-esteem and values.  Typically our residents have been challenged by clinical needs and past experiences and thus have not developed the usual coping skills that would allow them to be making age appropriate life choices.

We have recognized the need to offer a holistic and goal-oriented treatment plan that integrates the objectives of both the student and the family.  Length of stay is based on individual goal achievement.  Due to our small program size we are able to quickly develop goals, adapt structure and respond to both growth and struggle, in order to maximize each individual’s potential.  Parents or guardians are welcomed as active participants in our program and are included in the process of establishing expectations and measuring outcomes for their family, as well as participating on-site with their young adult.  We seek the expertise of education consultants, community clinicians and previous educators to meet the needs of each individual.  We stress the importance of enrollment in an education program such as community college or correspondence coursework, or of the individual participating in vocational training or a supported employment experience.
