Julie Green, M.S. Coordinator of Post Secondary Education Bio: Julie joined the Innercept team in March of 2007 after completing 35 years of service in public education. During her tenure, Julie spent 20 years as a classroom teacher with assignments ranging from fourth grade to special education. She also taught middle school classes in life skill and social development, served as a consulting teacher for district special education classes and developed a community access program for students with disabilities. Her educational career also included twelve years of school administration which included assignments as Special Education Director, Assistant principal and Principal of an Alternative High School designed to accommodate students unsuccessful in mainstream programs. Consecutively, Julie also served as the principal of the Juvenile Detention Education program for twelve years. Julie holds Master’s degrees in Special Education/Corrective Reading, Vocational Education and School Administration. This educational background provided her with valuable instructional tools to assist students with diverse needs and backgrounds in finding success in educational settings. Julie is committed to the success of young people. Her life work is rooted in providing programming and support to students needing specially designed instruction. Innercept’s structure and design allows Julie to use her background and experience to develop talents and skills of the program’s students. She enjoys spending time with her family and the many outdoor pursuits that North Idaho offers. Depending on the season, Julie skis, snowshoes, rafts, kayaks bikes and gardens. In quieter moments, she is an avid reader and piano “plunker”. Besides young people and family, Julie is devoted to her four-footed family and friends. |
