Bruce Boudousquie, LPC. Clinical Coordinator - Young Adult Program Bio: Bruce has an Associates Degree in Outdoor Recreation Education, and a Bachelors Degree in Recreation with a minor in Therapeutic Recreation. He graduated in 1993 from the University of Idaho and began work with adolescents in a residential treatment facility in southern Utah. Since then, Bruce has worked in the mental health field with troubled teens and emotionally disturbed children and their parents in a variety of settings. In the spring of 2002 his wife, Sherrie, handed him an application for grad school to sign and said “you’re going back to school”. Two years later he graduated from Idaho State University earning a Masters Degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Counseling. He has been a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Idaho since graduating and has enjoyed immensely the opportunity to serve those he works with. Bruce feels that he has found his niche in working with people and helping them change their lives. He believes that relationships are the key to change. He works with a concept known as self-deception and helps others uncover their own self-deceptions which then allows for change to take place. Bruce has a wonderful family consisting of his wife Sherrie and their five children. Having grown up in rural Louisiana on a small farm he grew to love the outdoors. After coming out west in the mid eighties he decided to stay and go to school. His love for the outdoors has driven him to explore many different areas of the west. He has backpacked areas in Utah, Arizona, and Idaho. Other hobbies and interests include fishing, hunting, building log furniture, as well as camping and picking huckleberries with his family. |
