In the Aftercare Program at Innercept, we offer a supportive independent living model focused on individualized programming for emerging adults ranging in age from eighteen to twenty-four.   Located in the beautiful resort town of Coeur D’Alene, Idaho, we are close to local amenities and a variety of employment, volunteer and educational opportunities.

The therapeutic alliance established earlier in the resident’s progression through the program is an essential component to meeting their individual needs as they move into independent living.   Aftercare combines the therapeutic services that were provided by the team of treatment professionals from earlier parts of the program, while increasing individualized community based support.  We offer on-going supportive services and targeted mentoring and task plans to encourage independent living skills, mood management skills, achieve a balance with their physical health and diet, maintain an organized environment, establish healthy relationship patterns, and build self-esteem and values.  We emphasize enrollment in college courses, the maintaining of employment, and/or volunteering as essential to the resident’s success.

Aftercare is the integral step in the Innercept program by providing residents with an opportunity to apply the lessons they have learned and reflect on the choices they have made.     The program is a supervised path to successful independent living.   It is a path that further enhances a resident’s ability to cope with new challenges and gives them added support as they practice life skills, create new connections in the community, and redevelop the self-confidence and trust in themselves that will allow them to be successful in the endeavors they pursue after Innercept.
